伊格尔斯因为在开普敦抓住一次首发机会，并打入扳平酋长队的进球感到非常高兴。
这位22岁的中场球员在场上的机会比较少。但是在整场比赛中他有几次比较不错的触球，并且他接到了特维斯从右路的绝妙传球攻入一粒头球。
伊格尔斯告诉MUTV, “我努力的找回状态。能攻入一球真的感觉不错。主要的是能调整好自己的状态为这个赛季做好准备。”
“这是一场不错的比赛。我为我的努力感到高兴。我在同阿伯丁的比赛中上场了一些时间。我非常享受比赛。我非常希望首发。”
球迷在纽兰体育场制造了非常热烈的气氛。让这场比赛更加的精彩纷呈，让广大球迷过了一个惬意的下午。

他说: “ 我从14岁就呆在这里。我不想离开。主教练是我非常想取悦的人，我感谢他为我所做的一切。”

Eagles flying high
Chris Eagles was delighted to cap another first-team opportunity with the equalising goal against Kaizer Chiefs in Cape Town 。
The 22-year-old midfielder has found his chances limited at United but showed some nice touches in his hour-long run out and headed home Carlos Tevez's superb cross from the right for the Reds' second-half goal.
“I’m over the moon to be back in action and to get another goal is good,” Eagles told MUTV. “But the main thing is to get fitness and sharpness for the season to come.
“It was a good game and I was pleased with my efforts. I had some time against Aberdeen last week and really enjoyed it – I just love playing in the first team.”
The fans in Newlands Stadium created a carnival atmosphere which, added to the game’s competitive edge, made it an enjoyable afternoon’s work.
“It was so loud out there – I could hardly understand John O’Shea at left-back because the fans were blowing their horns! But it was a brilliant atmosphere,” Eagles added.
“[Kaizer Chiefs] are halfway though their season so we expected them to be fit and strong, but it’s good to get a result and for me personally to get 65 minutes under mybelt.”
Eagles, who on Friday admitted to having talks with other clubs about a possible move, reiterated his desire to stay at United and push for a first-team place. He added: “I’ve been here since I was 14 and I have no plans to leave. The manager is the main person I have to please and I respect him for what he has always done for me.”
